The Early Days Of Jesse Poore
This documented research traces the elusive early life of Jesse Poore (1770-1860), born around 1770 in North Carolina and died in Claiborne County, Tennessee.
Due to significant record destruction during various conflicts in North Carolina, firmly documenting Jesse's initial years has been challenging.
However, through decades of dedicated research, including DNA analysis and the meticulous correlation of fragmented data, records, names, and locations, we have reconstructed his formative experiences in North Carolina and Tennessee.
A key discovery is Jesse's use of both "Poore" and "Powers" as surnames, evidenced by transactions such as purchasing land as Jesse Powers and later selling it as Jesse Poor.
This research sheds new light on previously unknown connections to Jesse's early life in North Carolina.
